INSTAT
Cens 2023
Establishing and implementing the 2023 Population and Housing Census Communication Campaign, marking the 12th time the Census is carried out in Albania.

We have worked several times with INSTAT in Albania, but this time, the project presented a branding challenge, which we were happy to partake in. The Census of Population and Housing is a process that affects everyone. Showing this vital message made people aware of the singular position everyone was in.

Visualization
We compiled the visual identity for Cens 2023. Starting with an array of opportunities to make an inclusive icon for this round of registrations. We settled for a forthcoming sign, the circle, playing around with the typography, softening around the edges to resemble a table where everyone is equal.
It is crucial to highlight the singular and yet communal response through the visuals.
We implemented this idea behind the visual dissected and personalized communication based on the cities where the campaigns occurred. While working on the concept of full inclusion, we also delivered promotional and explanatory videos to aid in understanding the importance of this process.

Campaign
The campaign dissemination expanded over a year with two main focuses:
Informing the citizens about Cens 2023 under the slogan Cens is coming (Cens po vjen)
Announcing the initiation of Cens 2023 under the slogan Cens is here (Cens është këtu)
The prominent tagline of the campaign was Me, You, Us (Unë, Ti, Ne) Cens 2023, a short and direct communication that assembles the unifying character of this project.
We also worked on producing several videos that explained the importance and necessity of participating in Cens 2023 and informational packages entailing every step of the process.

Cens goes Digital
For the first time, the census process was developed in collaboration with social media. Such a diffusion of information meant that the message had to be spread precisely, inclusively, and directly.
Since the target audience was the entire population, it was crucial to ensure that the communication was clear, adaptable, and easily accessible. This made the process exemplary in terms of effective communication.
