Communication Strategy, Naming, Identity Design and Communication Management for the International Cultural Weeks in Albania
Working under the theme we created: Albania welcomes the world, we kicked off the communication standpoint and identity creation and development of the International Cultural Weeks.
Javët Kulturore Ndërkombëtare (International Cultural Weeks) is a yearly cultural organization that expands in public and private institutions and international collaborations, providing a challenging program where different states present their culture in the capital of Tirana each week. As dynamic a program as it is, it requires the same level of dedication in visually representing its fast-paced nature.
Visual Identity
This project allowed us to craft and model a compass for cultural events in Tirana and Albania. Javët Kulturore Ndërkombëtare (International Cultural Weeks) was the basis of understanding what the visual identity of this organization was going to be. The versatility of the brand identity opened doors to shape each cultural week easily into a significant cognitive way representing each participating state.
Our proposal entailed representing each letter as blocks that could be infused with other visual or word matter, placeholders of the events happening in Albania. Another essential element played a significant role in announcing every week's state and cultural program. The three-block method offered a playfield incorporating flag colors or other iconic representations of a specific state.
Implementation
JKN had to be very visible and versatile, and this configuration helped each week express their culture in colors and atmosphere, so the audience would immediately get familiar with.
Social Media
Besides conceptualizing the identity of this program, we also worked on communicating each week›s program through social media and the dedicated web-based outlet. The second edition had also adapted to a more fast-paced content production to reflect the dynamic event range through live reactions, event following, and heartwarming recaps.
Identity Retouch
We refreshed the brand identity for the second edition of the International Cultural Weeks in Albania to mark the growth and the second edition most efficiently and creatively.
From brand identity to visual curation, we developed tailored designs for this organization›s social media communication week after week. This project expanded from May to November, concluding with the enormous festivities of Albania's independence.
Continuing the second year meant a chance to recreate and bring something new to the front. By stylizing with a minimal touch yet rich and attractive. Working with gradients helped merge the identity of each cultural week in a distinctive way.
The social media posters were conceptualized so as to play with symbols and stereotypical elements for each state but represented in a modern setting.
